Looking to start a newsletter on your website? Start a email e-course that sends out emails automaticaly on certain days of the week? You might find this list of email services and software useful in your search.
For the past 6 years I’ve always used Aweber. I remember back when I got started online there was only a few services and software solutions available and I was a little confused as to what was best, what were the issues that you would run into with email. I just knew I wanted a way to connect with people by providing them content.
Today blogs have taken things to a whole new level by allowing visitors to subscribe to your blogs content as it occurs through your blogs RSS feed. People can choose to get it fed into their RSS reader or directly to their email.
This hasn’t of course effected regular email services and software providers as they have just integrated this feature into their features. Also the other thing to bear in mind is at times you might not want to have just your visitors updated about your blogs posts, you might want to provide a daily tip, or reminder or some form of e-course,and that’s where it’s really helpful to be connected in with a service.
Now the reason i’ve stuck with aweber over these other services is pretty simple really
1. They have been around for years and are well established with ISPS who are the ones that tend to blacklist servers because of spam complaints. They have created good relations with ISPS and I find have a high rate of success for delivering your email ( Getting email opened by your subscribers is another thing entirely, thats where good Copy comes in aswell as a good relationship with your subscribers )
2. Great pricing per month
3. Lots of features and they are continually adding.
I have looked at one time purchase software solutions vs a service but there are a lot more disadvantages in my opinion with them, though many still use them as it provides a great way to pay once, install on your webhost and then never have to pay again, only for upgrades
I myself have been subscribed to a number of newsletters for years, mainly to stay abreast of what other people are doing online and whats being offered. Each time a email comes you can find out at the very bottom of the email which service or software that person uses as usually at the bottom of the email will be the subscription options and Unsubscribe links ( some people dont have them which I think is wrong, that option should always be there )
I tend to keep track of what other people use for both internet marketers and top companies and here are the top 10 email marketing services and software that I have discovered people mainly using.
1. Aweber
2. GetResponse
4. iContact![]()
6. Lyris
7. InfusionSoft
8. Interspire
10. Net Atlantic Email Marketing Suite
